My students need rolls of tickets, a popcorn maker and craft bags.
This project expired on March 31, 2013.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
Do you remember how hard it was to learn math formulas? Didn't you love having games to learn these new skills? My students struggle with using paper and pencil to learn formulas and concepts in math. Games are a great way for my students to maintain these skills.
My students are 6th, 7th and 8th grade students in a Title 1 school in Illinois.
Some of my students struggle with being able to supply the necessary materials needed for class. My students have specific learning disabilities in the area of math which requires us to use many hands on activities.
Having an end of the year carnival for my students will allow them to have a fun way to review all the concepts/formulas that we have learned throughout the year. This will allow students to engage and teach other students in the school about what they have learned. My students really thought that if we have a carnival, we must have a popcorn machine. The smell alone will give us that carnival feel.
This project is important to me because my students have work extremely hard this school year and I feel it is necessary to reward my students.
This is also a great way for my students to engage with the rest of the school.
