Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are English learners who are starting to learn English. Our demographics are mainly Title I students, who are also from low socioeconomic homes. Most of the students in my class are on free and reduced-price lunch. Most students have never been in school until now. I would like to be able to provide them with the best learning environment possible. My little ones come to school happy every day and are always ready to learn.
Our classroom needs to be suitable to meet the needs of these eager learners.
Art and technology are good ways to help students develop their abilities of perception of the world around them and also help them become more confident in themselves. Incorporating art and technology into the lessons enables students not only to develop their artistic side but also language and thus writing abilities.
My Project
Students need art in the classroom to express themselves and demonstrate understanding. It is important to allow students to show what they know and see through art. Young children need art to enhance learning. Clean diverse supplies enable them to use different techniques. Students with learning challenges have more opportunities to learn concepts being taught through art. Students enjoy using different types of art supplies to complete their pictures. Integrating art in class is imperative for effective learning for all students. Help me provide different art supplies to my students to enhance learning. Expressing themselves through art will help students depict their knowledge.
