Instilling A Love Of Government In The Classroom
Help me give my students an awesome U.S. Government experience in the classroom.
My students are doing their best to succeed despite having many obstacles to their education. I work in a minority-majority school district with many of my students learning English as a second language.
We are a 100% free and reduced lunch school due to the fact that over 90% of our kids live in poverty.
In addition, many of my students come from single-family households. Despite these barriers, my students continue to show up to school every day eager to learn and gain new knowledge.
Help me to provide visual learning aids such as posters of Washington D.C., the U.S. Presidents, the Constitution, Bill of Rights and the three branches of government in my U.S. Government Classroom.
It is my hope to inspire a new generation of students to, not only understand how government works, but also to truly appreciate how government impacts their lives.
This project will help me to provide a classroom with visual stimulation that will invoke discussion and critical thinking. It will also provide basic classroom supplies such as materials to hang posters, bleach wipes, disinfectant spray and hand sanitizer to keep my kids healthy throughout the year.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
