My Project

My students love listening to picture books and rereading them on their own! They're a great addition to any library and my students are always eager to grab one and find a cozy spot to start reading.

Picture books feature diverse characters with backgrounds that traverse the globe and the universe.

This is exactly what I want my students to experience with choices of texts within my library. My students will be automatically transported into another world of action and adventure. These high-interest books will just be the ticket for them to get hooked on books. This will result in them reading on grade level or above and increase their vocabulary as well.

When students pick up one of these new picture books, they will learn about not giving up, even when things become challenging. They will learn how to boost their confidence along with building social emotional strategies to overcome challenges.

They're not only fun and educational but inspiring, too.
