Inspiring Students to Build Community

Help me give my students an opportunity to learn more about branding, and utilize that knowledge to create matching aprons/apparel for use with our teacher snack cart and in the community when participating in fundraising events.

My Students

I have been blessed with the opportunity to live my passion, teaching rooms full of enthusiastic high school students who are eager to learn. We cover a wide variety of topics and they have taken every idea I have and knocked them out of the park.

I am teaching a great group of students this year who are creative, energetic and eager to tackle new projects.

I get the honor of teaching them skills they will utilize throughout their lives, no matter their plans after high school.

My Project

I teach a variety of courses with a common denominator--skills students will use in their lives, no matter their plans after high school. My students thoroughly enjoy being able to engage in projects and assignments that are untraditional and "outside the box". In addition to the classes that will utilize the press, many of my students are involved in the service organization FCCLA, which connects to the classes I lead. This service organization allows the students to develop leadership skills that will serve them in any occupation they choose.

The heat press I am hoping to acquire will allow me to incorporate branding, logo design, and sales concepts into my cooking and child development lessons in the classroom.

Additionally, the heat press will allow us to expand fundraising for FCCLA and allow more students the opportunity to be involved in the conferences and workshops we attend.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
