My students come to school with so much excitement and curiosity for the year. They have a desire to learn, and feel so proud to be in "big kid school". It is fun to see how much their little faces light up when I bring out something new for them to try. Some of their favorite classroom activities include literacy center rotations, math zones, and time using technology.

It is so amazing to see how interested they are in finding answers to problems that they face in the classroom.
Our school is in a small district, but we have big heart. The students come from a wide range of backgrounds, but it is amazing to see. We now will be offering full-day kindergarten for the first time in our district. We are so excited for this amazing opportunity for our students. We will have more play built into our curriculum as a result of this change. Thank you for taking the time to support our classroom as little minds grow!
My Project
These materials will help my students develop essential gross motor skills. The sports balls and outside equipment will help my students learn to manage their bodies during gross motor play.
Children need to play in order to learn essential social and emotional skills.
My students will have the opportunity to use these materials to work together to learn through play. Each time a child uses one of these materials, he or she will have the opportunity to play with others. While playing, students have to learn to cooperate, take turns, and work with others in meaningful ways.
