"The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires." -- William Arthur Ward. Inspiring my students each day through interactive teaching and lessons is a goal of mine as a teacher. My students need appropriate materials to utilize.
My second grade students are enthusiastic learners who come to school and try their best each day no matter what challenges they may be facing in their lives.
Our school population is high poverty and most students are on free/reduced lunch. They are always ready to learn and love coming to school to learn every day.
One of our favorite times during the day is Reading and Writing Workshop. This is a time where we gather together at our carpet area to learn through engaging mini lessons and collaboration. Our classroom needs an interactive teaching easel that we can keep and hang our interactive teaching charts on. This easel also has storage areas underneath it to store the children's books we are using for mentor texts. My students love to help out with creating our learning charts and they always refer back to our charts during independent work time. This is an organized way for students to have everything right where they need it.
Having an organized classroom with appropriate and engaging materials is an essential part in academic success for students.
This easel will help organize the work we do together, while also providing storage for the books we use during the lesson. My students love pretending like they are the teacher with our charts and this is the perfect way for us to continue learning together!
