Inspiring 21st Century Kids
My students need 5 tablets and protective cases to develop skills with handling technology, to build+create projects with technology, and have individualized+interactive extra support tools.
We would love to utilize some of the amazing, inspiring programs available all around us...we just need a some tools to access them. We will use these tablets everyday...so we really hope these tablets can keep up with us. :)
We are 30+ excited, energetic, and inspired kinder kiddos--who have the need to explore, build, and grow our knowledge base.
We love learning and love to see + hear + touch + talk + play while we learn. My teacher makes learning fun by incorporating technology into our daily instruction. Many of us are bilingual with English as our second language, however using technology to learn easily bridges the gap. While the world around us is quickly evolving, many of us have never and do not have access to technology anywhere else but school.
These simple tablets will be used to:
develop digital literacy skills
learn to read and read to learn
let me construct pictures/puzzles/stories
experience virtual worlds/field trips for scientific knowledge
practice problem solving math problems
create/express/share my artistic ideas for art
These resources will be in the hands of children throughout the school day for a variety of assigned learning tasks. The tablets will be used individually, with learning partners, and in small group work. Every student's progress will be tracked and shared with parents.
We see grown-ups use and sometimes struggle to learn technology, but we are sponges; we can learn quickly with the right tools.
I want to be smart, confident, and ready for the world. It is my future, our future. We appreciate your help, and we are happy with what you can give.
