Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Every year I am blessed with an amazing group of Kindergarten students. They arrive each day with their smiling faces. They love math, sharing, learning their letter names, letter sounds, singing, art, writing, and listening to stories. They are creative and love to share their ideas! My students are ready to learn new things and excited to be in school. Their enthusiasm for learning is so contagious!

My Project

After such a tremendous outpouring of support for our project requesting three iPads, my students have encouraged me to attempt iPad #4 and #5. It would be the perfect amount for one small group.

If we had enough iPads in our classroom, the students could take turns during Guided Reading and Exploration Time.

This will help them with their letter recognition, letter sounds, sight words, reading, and comprehension. In Math, they will be able to use the iPads to work on recognizing numbers, counting, shapes, patterns, addition, and subtraction.

I believe that having technology in the classroom would not only motivate students to learn, but inspire them to new heights.

By donating to our project, you will not only help my students learn to better navigate technology, you will ultimately help them become better readers, writers, and mathematicians.
