This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The students of HPHS are hard-working and helpful and are working on becoming the leaders of tomorrow. Unfortunately, things aren't always easy for them and many have to work extra hard to achieve the same successes as students from other areas.
A good number of the students who come to this school deal with trauma, including food insecurities and lack of access to basic things like hygiene products.
These are not things that a teenager should have to worry about. Being able to provide them with snacks, fidgets and hygiene products helps to alleviate these extra stresses and help them to be more productive in all aspects of life.
