Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students of HPHS are hard-working and helpful and are becoming the leaders of tomorrow. Unfortunately, things aren't always easy for them and many have to work extra hard to achieve the same successes as students from other areas.

A good number of the students who come to this school deal with extra stress related to trauma, food insecurities and period poverty.

Being able to provide them with fidgets, snacks, hygiene and period products can help to alleviate these extra stresses and help them to be more productive in all aspects of life.

Having already had one project funded with these products and seeing how much it has positively impacted the students, I would love to continue to be able to provide these things for them. Instead of feeling like a burden for asking, all hygiene products are available in the bathroom, no questions asked. Hopefully it gives them one less thing to worry about in a very stressful world.
