Our school services students from ninth-twelfth grade. My students are learning at several different performance levels, within a self-contained classroom. The program allows the students to travel to different classes throughout their day. They struggle with moderate-cognitive impairments. Some students also struggle with physical, speech, vision, occupational, hearing, and behavioral impairments.
My students learn best with visuals and engaging activities.
They like to collaborate with each other while learning. Please help bring the best tools to enhance the learning styles and engagement of our very special population!
My Project
With these awesome augmented/virtual-reality headsets, we can go places that the students would never be able to go in real life! To offer our precious students life experiences, right from their seat, in the classroom, is an amazing concept!
Can you imagine having an augmented-reality insect sit on your table where you can look at every detail, every angle, and describe what you see with your teachers?
Then, take a virtual trip to the habitats where these insects live? Well, my students would be able to immerse themselves into virtual and augmented reality in their science class and experience amazing adventures.
Now, just think about this information. There are over 500 lessons that can be used with these virtual/augmented ClassVR headsets for all of our educational subjects. These headsets come with a rolling charging cart with a handle. That means this pure awesomeness can be transported to all teachers, and the subjects that they offer the students!
