it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The Entomology Club has the goal of engaging students in the scientific process through active discovery of the biodiversity, nomenclature, and anatomy of insects. Our goal is to provide meaningful laboratory opportunities that teach skills relevant to identification and preservation within diverse insect genera. Funding for our club will help us obtain essential resources, such as an insect pinning and spreading board, insect pins, pinning boards, forceps, insect storage solutions, and preservation supplies.
The procurement of these tools will move our program from observation and classroom instruction and lecture to full scientific inquiry, helping members of the club to develop research techniques while concurrently increasing their knowledge about the ecology and conservation of insects.
