My Project
I teach preschool students in an inner city that's infamous for crime and poverty. My students in my class are energetic young students. Despite their struggles, they come to class happy and eager to learn. Our school uses a curriculum called Creative Curriculum.
This curriculum have studies that include insects and I would love to get them hands-on materials for their learning.
For this study, I would like to get the Ladybug Garden. Board books and collection of insects to explore. When we work on the insects study I would also like to add insect rubbing plates to our art area. The rubbing plates are versatile and fun for art. It allows students to add texture to artwork by placing paper over a plate and rubbing it with a crayon, pencil, or marker to make the design emerge. Thank you in advance.
