Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love listening to anything I read that is nonfiction. They are so curious about the world around them. Scholastic News is full of engaging nonfiction texts and videos. It covers a variety of high interest topics for my little ones throughout the year. These topics covered also follow the state standards and will supplement my curriculum nicely. The weekly magazines are very educational and it comes both in digital form and a printed version for them to keep.

Additionally, the digital version is interactive so my students will be able to read the articles with audio and play engaging games that test their knowledge of what they learned.

It also comes at 2 different reading levels which provides great differentiated opportunities for my students.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
