Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school is a small K-5 school that opened its doors just this year! We departmentalized 4th and 5th grade so I get to teach about 100 students everyday! We call ourselves "Innovators" which truly describes our students.
My children are active, hard working, and creative.
They are eager to learn and their enthusiasm is truly contagious! I have such a caring group, and they have created an environment that is safe and inclusive at our brand new school. All of my students, from all four classes, strive for excellence every single day.
My Project
Could you imagine having to sit in a hard, plastic hair for seven hours? Education continues to evolve, and yet we cling on to the desk and chair traditional classroom setting. I have seen one too many students lose focus as they shift from one side of the chair to the other. Unfortunately, an uncomfortable student is also a distracted, unproductive student. The products I have selected will not only help my students be comfortable, but it will enhance their learning experience.
Flexible seating will provide my students with a variety of workspaces to accommodate all of their diverse needs.
I want my students to have choices and hopefully find their ideal workspace, whether it is a wobble chair, a bean bag, a couch, or simply standing. I always tell my students that in my class we are a family, and that I want them to feel at home when they are in our room. With your help, we can make it happen!
