Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach 2nd grade with enthusiastic and creative students. Many of my students are English language learners and books are so important to my students and are truly valued. Many of my students do not have access to books at home and rely on our school to provide high-quality and diverse books.

My students share the same excitement and joy that I have when they are able to devour the newest books in their favorite series.

My Project

My students love Innovation Station time in the classroom. It allows them the opportunity to engage in various ways. These resources will allow me to incorporate a speaking and listening station during innovation stations. The CD player, headphones, and Qball will be used to enrich the students' experience and differentiate instruction.

Speaking and listening centers can provide a wonderful opportunity for children to hear their favorite books read aloud again and again.

The more they listen, the greater the likelihood that they will learn new vocabulary words.

This station will also be very beneficial for the many multi-language learners in our classroom
