My Students

My students attend a public charter school in Florida. They are hard-working, creative, and curious students who love to learn and give back to the world. These students want to learn about the world around them and they rise to a high level of rigor!

My Project

I am requesting four iPads to support innovation in our classroom. Imagine, 20 diverse students in the classroom, equally engaged and actively participating in high-energy learning games, smiles on their faces, and lightbulbs turning on all around the room.

This is the kind of energy you can bring to a classroom by gifting my students four iPads to enrich their daily learning experience and help build their 21st-century critical thinking skills.

The iPads will be used in a multifaceted role to encourage innovative thinking in my classroom. Students will be able to play educational apps and games - which are proven to increase creative thinking - work on their in-class lessons, and safely browse learning goals. The eager and enthusiastic students in my classroom would greatly benefit from more opportunities to expand their knowledge-base and reach their potential by using the structured educational experiences the iPad offers.

iPads can also eliminate the use of unnecessary printing and the consistent use of paper. Paper-free classrooms are making a stand and I want my students to be at the forefront of this movement! Help my students stay environmentally friendly, reduce waste, and create a sustainable future!

Additionally, as we are all aware, COVID-19 poses a consistent threat to our community and our children. Limiting the use of shared computers/ iPads/ tablets is said to be a very effective way to minimize the spread. Given the situation, each student having an iPad is the one way to minimize interruptions in the curriculum while also engaging in creative thinking. Help my students stay as safe as possible by gifting each student the use of an iPad!
