My Project

Being able to provide access to snacks and food items for not only my students, but other students in my school community plays a huge part in fostering an environment that is beneficial to academic success. Nutrition plays a great role in our students function and concentration, which directly impacts our students' abilities to engage with their academic material.

For this project, I am using these more as motivators.

I've asked my students to give me specific requests on what they'd like to see in the snack closet.

By providing them with requested snacks, these also serve as motivators for the students to continue to do well in their classes. This taps into their individual motivators, and also reinforces the connection between their academic achievement and tangible/consumable rewards.
