Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach an amazing group of third grade students in a Title I inner city school in Los Angeles where all the students qualify for free school lunch. Most of my students come from loving family backgrounds, and they may need additional academic support which their parents may not be able to provide. My class is wonderfully diverse with students who are English learners, gifted students, and even some students who struggle with learning.

Despite all these obstacles, my students are motivated learners who always strive to do their best!

As their teacher, I want to provide them the best opportunity to uphold our school motto of being respectful, responsible, and scholarly!

My Project

We have returned for our 2nd semester and I am hoping for a safe and healthy new year. The students have been doing a great job under these stressful situations but we are moving forward and learning everyday!

We need color ink for all our assignments that will bring stories to life!

The students love writing and drawing so bringing their pictures to life with color makes all the difference in the world! The Sharpie highlighters will be used when we annotate as we read during our language arts block.
