Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach 3rd Grade math to over 70 students in a Title I school in NYC. The majority of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best- thus they deserve the best.
We need ink to print materials without any hassle, at any given time.
My class and I are constantly using our printer during class time and center time. Our printer is a necessity in our classroom. It is very important for us to use and be able to share our work. I currently have a printer in my classroom for my students; however, purchasing ink, paper, and various other supplies my students might need - does add up. Our school struggles with basic supplies that would help me help my students.
As a teacher, I need to print out material to supplement for small group, homework, and intervention. I would LOVE to print out freely without worrying if the ink will last. Having this ink as well as paper will allow me to support my students' needs and reach their success.
