My Students

We are a large suburban district of 19,000 students. I am responsible for implementing STEM projects in classrooms K-12. Our students are highly engaged and are very eager to have project-based learning.

I love to watch students who may not be successful in reading or math, succeed in a hands-on project that requires problem-solving.

This will have a lasting impact on student learning. STEM projects will be an engagement strategy in our district. I can't wait to implement new ideas.

My Project

As the STEM specialist for a suburban school district of 19,000 students, I am responsible for helping grow our STEM curriculum. We are building several maker spaces in the district and a brand new STEM high school. I need to be trained on maker spaces, the curriculum, the machines, how to stay safe and how to integrate it into all subject areas.

This professional development will help me create high-quality STEM instruction through making.

I want to share how a maker mindset can transform education today. I would like to have the confidence to help teachers implement making into all subject areas at all grade levels.
