Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work as a third-grade teacher at a dual-language charter school. Students learn all subjects in English and Spanish. My students experience a rigorous academic environment as they learn all subjects in both languages. My students come from very diverse backgrounds. They are motivated and determined. My goal is to support them in any way that I can and provide them with the best learning experiences possible.

My Project

During the winter months, we are often unable to go outside due to cold weather. We are unable to use the gym, as it is being used for gym classes. I want students to engage in activities that do not involve a computer and allow them to socialize with their friends. Students need time to be able to talk to each other and have fun. Students learn collaboration skills and teamwork skills while playing and working with each other. These games will allow students to have fun while helping them to develop new friendships during recess or during a fun Friday activity.
