My Project

In Massachusetts, we often experience bad weather days where students are not able to go outside for recess. Typically, the options for inside recess are for students to watch a movie or allow students to use their computers. These are options that often result in restless students for the remainder of the day. In order to avoid this, students need to engage their brains in a creative way during indoor recess.

STEM tools like Magna-Tiles are the perfect way to make indoor recess a fun, engaging time that also increases brain activity.

Students will use indoor recess time to create and build anything their imagination can think of. Not only will they have more fun using STEM tools instead of watching a movie, but they will also increase their spatial-visual and creative abilities.

By providing students with board games such as Sorry! and Guess Who?, students will participate in rule following and cooperation skills.
