Indoor Greenhouse Salsa Garden

Help me give my students a hands on learning experience with an indoor greenhouse garden to start plants from seeds. The plants will then be replanted in our outdoor garden.

My Project

I am encouraged every time I get to take my students outside and they observe and interact with nature. Their enthusiasm and curiosity is inspiring to watch. My students are amazed and excited about everything they see. To be able to bring that indoors and start a garden before its warm enough to go outside, brings that enthusiasm and curiosity inside to our classroom.

Many of my students are not able to have their own gardens.

This is a great way for them to have ownership. We will be planting mostly vegetables that go together to make salsa. The seeds will be started in our indoor greenhouse and then replanted in our outdoor garden. The students will get to see the process from start to finish!
