I work in a very low-income district with more than half of our student population receiving free or reduced price lunch. My students are all amazing children who have been categorized as having severe to profound disabilities and have very individualized needs.
We are needing materials to make goal boxes so that each child is able to focus on their own individualized objectives in the most organized and effective ways possible.
We know that the more streamlined we can make this process for these students, the more we are going to be able to reach those goals we set!
My Project
We are working on creating opportunities through the course of our daily routine for our students to be independent and work towards individualized goals that will help them to be even more successful.
Although a small change, these boxes are going to make a huge difference in how students strive for and achieve their goals.
They are going to allow us to set up each student for exactly what they need in the most efficient and organized way possible. With the addition of the books, we are hoping to get students reading high-interest, age-appropriate literature to continue to build a love of learning and reading.
