My Students

“Tell me and I'll forget; show me and I may remember; involve me and I'll understand.” My students need a fun way to be involved in everyday instruction.

I teach 16 5th graders in South Dakota.

Our school is in a high poverty area. My students are active students with busy minds, hands, and spirits. They are in constant need of hands on activity. My students love to learn new things in exciting ways.

My Project

With these white boards my students will be able to be actively engaged in instruction. We will be able to save time by simply taking out our whiteboards, instead of running to the back of the room to grab paper. With that added time, my students will achieve what I know is their full potential.

Giving to this project will enhance the hands-on, tactile learning that my students need.

It will allow them to be involved, and thereby understand. And by understanding we can close the educational gap that exists in our schools.
