Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class is composed of mostly ENL students. My students come from low-income families. These families have come to America from other countries hoping to make better lives for their children. Their parents want only the best for their children.

My children are eager to learn; they are excited to come to school every day, and they are full of hope for the future.

I am one of two teachers in an ICT classroom. Many of my students have special needs, and many have trouble focusing and processing information. Most students have trouble reading and/or writing and have difficulty with eye-hand coordination. My job is to help them get through these difficulties and help them perform to their highest ability.

My Project

My students love searching the internet and asking google for important information to support what we are learning about in class.

With the help of a MacBook Air my students will be able to navigate the internet on their own at a fast pace and research independently the various topics we are learning about in our content area lessons.

With the help of this tool my students will be able to become independent learners and feel confident. They can use what the new information they discover to support their thinking and add on to classroom conversations.
