Help me give my students the opportunity for more flexible seating options with the coffee table and floor pillows. I will also be using the paper storage and scrapbook cart for organization and independent stations.
Every year, I have a class full of the most deserving students who are eager to learn and grow full of new knowledge. We are a Title I school, and our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds, each with their own unique struggles at home and in the classroom.
As a past, present, and future teacher of the children in our community, it is my wholehearted goal to help each of these students blossom into their very best self!
Being in kindergarten, these children are even more special. For most, this is their first experience within a school environment. They are at an age where they are inquisitive, caring, active, and dreamers. My hope is to keep their dreams alive and help them to always have a love for learning.
My Project
We will be using the paper storage to organize our construction paper and colored card stock. My students that need constructive ways to express their activeness will use the chair bands on their seat to have a constant outlet for movement. My students will be able to use the scrapbook cart to pull independent work stations.
These items will help to make our classroom more functional and organized, and my students are noticeably more engaged when working somewhere other than their traditional desk.
My students love to sit in flexible seating, so I know the addition of the coffee table and floor pillows will be received with big smiling faces.
