Independence Matters!

Help me give my students their own personal space to put their own whiteboards, dry erase markers, poetry journals and leveled readers. The chair pockets will allow my students to have activities based on their development.

My Students

I will have 27-30 kindergarten students in my classroom. My students will learn to read, write, and count, and be team players, while some are learning ways to communicate with others using communication boards or simple sign language. My students love to help each other and are always making sure no one feels left out.

My classroom motto: Try your best every day!!!

My students take pride in their learning everyday. They read to each other, help each other, play with each other, and most of all they are kind and respectful to each other.

My Project

The chair pockets will make a difference in my students learning because each pocket will have activities specifically for that child. They will have choices of activities in the pockets that they can choose from. Examples of activites are- whiteboards to practice writing and drawing, journals to write and draw their thoughts flashcards, books at their reading levels, number lines, and name tags.

These activities will give my students a sense of independence which in turn will build their self-confidence.

My goal is for my students to become successful learners and take charge of their education. Thank you for your support!
