My Project

Seventh graders are constantly wanting to move. For this project, I am requesting Bouncy Bands for desk, pop keychains and calm strips.

My goal is to create learning environments that not only support academic success but also prioritize the holistic well-being of our students.

By incorporating these tools into classrooms, I hope to cultivate a culture of mindfulness, resilience, and empathy, empowering students to thrive academically and emotionally.

Bouncy Bands provide an outlet for students' natural need for movement. They help channel excess energy and reduce restlessness, thereby improving focus and attention during lessons.

I will add the pop keychains to my online store that students can purchase with points they earn for meeting expectations in the classroom. These have been a hit with my students in the past.

Similarly, calm strips offer tactile comfort and promote relaxation. By providing a soothing texture for students to touch and feel, these strips create a more tranquil learning environment, reducing anxiety levels and fostering a greater sense of emotional well-being conducive to learning.

Adding the keychains and calm strips to my store also helps students to manage their "funds" - the points they earn. They will learn to budget their "funds" for items and events that they would like to buy.

What makes my students special is their diversity, resilience, and untapped potential. Each student brings unique strengths, experiences, and perspectives to the classroom, enriching the learning environment and inspiring me as an educators. My students demonstrate remarkable resilience in the face of challenges and possess an inherent curiosity and eagerness to learn. By providing them with the necessary support and resources, I believe they can achieve greatness and make meaningful contributions to their communities and beyond.
