The couch quickly became the most popular spot — it's where students love to read, collaborate, and relax while they learn. The addition of small writing desks has also been a huge help for students who prefer not to sit at a traditional desk but still want a comfortable place to focus on their work. These flexible seating options have transformed our classroom into a space where students feel comfortable, supported, and ready to learn in the way that works best for them. Seeing their enthusiasm and focus grow each day has been an incredible reminder of how much the right learning environment can make a difference.","fullyFundedDate":1757509562281,"projectUrl":"project/flexible-seating-for-8th-graders/9580051/","projectTitle":"Flexible Seating for 8th Graders","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Harris","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4925672"},{"teacherId":4925672,"projectId":9239370,"letterContent":"My students were so excited to see the new books added to our classroom library! The shelves are now filled with engaging, high-interest titles that truly capture their attention and encourage a love of reading. Having access to a wide variety of books allows every reader — from the most reluctant to the most enthusiastic — to find something that speaks to them. With this project, students will be first asked to create a design using flat lego dots and then taught how to turn it into an actual art print!\r\n\r\nThis project will give students a chance to have creative freedom over their designs and be wowed by the printmaking process! Since legos are removable, students will be able to adjust their design as they go before printmaking and in the process, learn more about balance in art, the printmaking process and how artists view positive and negative space.
