The ELL students start learning language skills in academic setting and experience anxiety because they are not accustomed to new culture and language. They also feel disoriented and anxious. For example, they fear making mistakes and being teased by their peers for mispronouncing words or misinterpreting content. Visuals support during language lesson are extremely important for ELLs because it reduces their anxiety about new materials, enhances their comprehension and confidence, and can even help them with knowledge of content recognition. The project will me a more effective teacher for ELL students.
