My students need a diverse library in order to increase and promote literacy in our classroom. The items include 2 sets of Spanish Storybook Read-Alongs, Vocabulary Development Photo Card Libraries, Spanish Readers and other Spanish book titles.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My students attend a dual immersion program in Spanish in CA.
These students are eager to learn and succeed in life. These students come from various racial backgrounds that make them unique such as being bilingual and multicultural diverse. They are very loving and caring. They always put a smile on my face because they work hard to be better in life.
My Project
Our classroom has a very small library; therefore by adding more resources into our library, the students will have more opportunities to be expose in different kinds of literacy. This will allow the students to love reading and take advantage of a better education. Reading is the most important skill in order to communicate in writing or orally. By having a bigger library, I will be able to have a better selection to promote literacy in my own classroom. I can do more read alouds, shared readings, and literacy centers. My students will learn the importance of decoding, fluency, and building vocabulary. They will also learn to enjoy different kind of literature.

They will have the opportunity to look forward different literacy books in our classroom. Also, the students will be able to succeed in their literacy skills by having access to a better library. Having this library will provide the students to take initiative to read on their own and actual enjoy reading.
