Increased Access to Books for the Whole Community!
Help me give my students a little free lending library for their community. I want to increase access to books for these students and grow their identities as part of a reading community.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are inspirational because they are learning and growing in all academic and social/emotional areas, plus they are balancing two or more languages. Within the context of a Dual Language school students are transferring knowledge learned in one language to another.
These students are moving from reluctant and almost turned off readers and writers to excited and inspired readers, writers and more.
Students are working on growth mindset mentality and setting small attainable goals to get to bigger longer term goals.
My Project
Installing a free lending library in the front of our elementary school will help increase access to books for our students. It will also help increase students and families identities as readers.
Staff and neighbors and even students are willing and ready to donate books!
Some of our students have never been to the public library closest to our neighborhood and many have rarely been gifted with books. Students need access to more books and they need to feel like books do not stay just at school.
With your help, we can install a cute and sturdy lending library for families to access. The best part about this project is that this donation will last for years to come so that future students and families can benefit as well.
