This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This is a Significant Severe Needs (SSN) classroom. The students need repetition and support to learn and retain what they have learned. This project is to help obtain Teacher-made materials to teach the basics of reading.

Understanding the Science of Reading focuses on explicitly teaching the 5 components: Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Fluency, Vocabulary, and Comprehension.

Students benefit greatly from engaging in hands-on activities during their lessons. By utilizing Teacher Pay Teachers credit, educators have the freedom to select interactive activities, reducing the time spent on creating hands-on materials and allowing for more focus on other essential projects.
