My Project
My class absolutely adores reading and learning through books. They thrive when they get independent reading time or when someone reads aloud to them. For many of my students, school is a place where they learn to be welcoming. They experience many cultures, religions, race, and that should be incorporated in the literature they read.
Please help my students feel included in the books that they are reading.
Not only would it mean the world to me to see them thoroughly enjoying a book that resembles their life but it would also mean the world to them. They will be able to hear new stories that are reflective of people who look like people around them.
