Some may think that spending a large amount of money on seat pockets is ridiculous. I thought that myself and ended up purchasing a set from the Dollar Store. They held up for a few weeks but every week, I have a few scholars whose seat pockets tear apart and they are unable to get to their supplies regularly. They have their books on the side of the classroom, under their chairs, or even worse, they are sitting on them. This makes it extremely hard for my scholars to stay organized and frustrates them enough that it takes away from class time. This organization would allow my scholars to stay calm and work fluently throughout the day. My scholars need consistent structure in the classroom and not having seat pockets has been causing a lot stress and frustrating among the scholars who no longer have them. Each scholar in my classroom will get a brand new seat pocket to use during the school year. All of their folders, books, and boards will go inside of their making for less frustrating transitions.
