Help me give my students incentive charts, stickers, and prizes like mini notepads, gel pens, and little treats to reinforce behavior and best effort in my special education classroom.
On a typical day in my special education classroom, my Kindergarten through 5th grade students are busy working on individual goals in reading, writing, math, social skills, and behavior. My students work hard to build foundational skills in order to help them be successful in their education.
My students have a range of special needs and require small group work, individual attention, behavior plans, structured social skills instruction, and highly motivating tasks and incentives, to be engaged in their learning and make progress toward their individual goals.
My Project
In my special education classroom, we all work hard to best meet the needs of the students. My students have experienced challenges in school, and many struggle to find success in learning. While we work hard each day to meet the academic goals of each student, I strive to instill in my students that they can be successful in many ways. I help them find success and celebrate their accomplishments and achievements each day.
I would like to be able to provide my students with age appropriate and functional incentives, to encourage participation and best effort in school.
I have requested items such as colorful little notebooks, gel pens, treats, stickers and reward charts. My students love to work to fill their incentive charts by meeting classroom expectation and personal goals. They continue to work on things such as arriving on time, being prepared with their supplies, maintaining a positive attitude, using kind words, using Whole Body Listening and giving their best effort. Upon completion of their incentive chart, students get to choose from age appropriate prizes.
The donation of these incentives will encourage my students to put forth their best effort, and help them develop a positive attitude toward school.
