My Project

My students are dedicated hard works that excel in anything they put their mind to. They are social butterflies that can make me laugh even after a tough day. A majority of my class come ffrom low income households, and the students are thankful for anything cthey can earn on their own. My students love spending their dojo points on the various items I have, such as chips, stickers, candy, or otter pops. However, buying all these incentives for my students can add up really quick. Somedays, my students ask for specific prizes like the bracelets. I would really like to give my students to opportunity to spend their Dojo points on items they want to work for. These materials will give me more options for my students to spend their Class Dojo points on and encourage them to earn more points throughout the day by staying on task, answering questions, helping others, and persisting through difficult tasks.

The game show buzzers will be used in the classroom when we are working on activities.

For example, if we are working on Social Studies, I have the students look for the answer to a question and the first group to hit their buzzer gets to answer and win points toward a goal. This idea came up recently when the students were racing to locate the answer and I said "I should get buzzers", in which the whole class responded with a roaring "YES!!!! That would be so fun!"
