Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students come from a diverse, inclusive neighborhood located in the heart of the southeast part of our city. The close-knit community of families and the school’s highly educated faculty work collaboratively to provide an environment that fosters each child’s development and success.

What I love about my students is their hunger to learn about how things work.

I'm really excited to see how fast they learn from their successes and failures.

Our students have been working harder than they ever have and during some very difficult times. They are so driven by rewards and really are excited about earning rewards in all essential area classes. Items such as fidgets, pencils, and erasers will definitely keep students engaged in good behaviors in our classes while promoting social-emotional growth.

As an essential area teacher in an Equity Focus School, we cannot buy new things continuously for all 30 of our classes. They would truly benefit from extra incentives in our Essential Area Classes. Incentives that promotes social-emotional learning and positive behavior.

They are really excited to earn rewards in Essential Area classes this year, and with rewards that really motivate them!
