Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A child who is motivated and praised is more likely to learn more and enjoy learning. Although oftentimes they are praised for their hard work, the fact that they are children turns these praises into something abstract.

Giving children little rewards and incentives makes feedback and recognition more tangible, and as such, more meaningful to them.

My students are special because besides the fact that we are a Title I school, many of our children come from households with minimal resources. They never complain about it. In fact, they all come to school with a smile and a desire to learn.

We teachers strive to offer them a safe environment to learn, but we also feel that offering an additional small incentive from time to time makes their achievements more tangible and meaningful to them.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
