Help me give my students instruments to play. We are looking to be the first elementary aged band in our county. With your support, we can do it! We would like some flutes, clarinets, trombones, and trumpets.
My school is located in Elliston, Virginia in Montgomery County. Our school is one of the most rural schools in the county. Our school is a Title I school. Our kiddos are inquisitive, bright, and love learning. Our school is a PK-5.

We are looking to expand the musical opportunities for our students. We currently offer a choir after school, but there is no band! We want to be the first elementary school band in Montgomery County!
My Project
We are trying to start a band program here at the elementary level. The long term efforts of this project are to increase the musical opportunities for our students in elementary school so that they will continue to be musicians in the middle and high school programs. In 7 years when this crop of 5th graders are seniors, they will be a part of the high school band. We hope to see numbers double in that program.
