This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Have you ever played a reed instrument? If you have, you know that reeds are very delicate and can break easily. Reeds are also very expensive. My students cannot afford to purchase reeds and a music store is not easily accessible to them. My band program is growing and we have quite a few clarinet and saxophone players who need reeds to play their instruments.

Reeds are essential in making beautiful woodwind sounds.

A broken reed will produce sounds that are not pleasing to the ear. A new reed will produce beautiful music. Please consider helping my students continue to make beautiful music.
