This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
This year, I have the pleasure of teaching a great group of second-grade students. They come to school eager to learn more about the world around them and ask several questions about what's going on in our world. These kiddos will come in the door ready to learn and have fun, despite their difficulties at home.
As a teacher in a Title I school, many of my students come from poverty stricken, low-income homes.
Some also are learning English as a second language and others have special needs. All of my students receive free breakfast and lunch at school. Some of my students live in a shelter or motels or are living with other families.
They will laugh, cry, hug, giggle, play, and learn all in one place - their classroom. Therefore, I am eager and ready to help them achieve their dreams.
My Project
By getting this donation of Staples copy paper and labels, I will be able to create the differentiated lessons and activities I need to help my students develop and progress in a self-contained setting.
I need to print/copy frequently because all of lessons must include specific modifications and accommodations.
This donation of paper will help improve my classroom because it would provide us with the necessary materials to continue learning and progressing in our classroom.
It will allow my students to continue to have their own materials so that they can write on them, highlight, circle and underline and apply close reading and math strategies directly on the paper.
