This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are from a small town in New Mexico. They are caring, fun, and loving. My students have various needs as well as a variety of specialties.

The students in our school have the hunger to succeed in life. As the school's counselor, it is up to me to assist each of these students in being the best person they can be now, as well as in the future.

My Project

The students will use the Play Doh during individual, small group, and whole class counseling sessions. When a child is kneading the Play Doh, it will make some sessions more comfortable to speak with the counselor about situations that may arise. When working with some students, if things don't go as they want, they may want to quit. I want to show students that trying is everything.

Students need to learn that when we make mistakes, it is just evidence that they have tried to accomplish something. It does not mean they have failed at something.
