Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a coach at Title I school where the majority of my students come from low-income families. All the students on campus receive free breakfast and lunch, and at the beginning of the school year, they are given free backpacks with supplies.

My students are motivated and excited to learn about fitness and nutrition to help them live a healthy lifestyle.

My students are special because although they struggle they have heart and work hard to succeed. In this gym, we provide these kids a place they can stay active and have fun while learning about fitness.

My Project

My students are great athletes but with the lack of equipment makes it hard for us to compete at the level we need to. Spikes will enable my athletes to be able to run with full speed and will enhance their ability to improve in the sport. Being a Title I school, a lot of other school districts look down on us and think we aren't worth competing against.

I really want to give my students the opportunity to enhance their skills and actually compete to win so that these other districts can see us as the true competitors we are.
