Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The supplies and materials I am requesting will help my students have workspaces that are more conducive to creating their best work. My students' current desks are in need of reorganization. Each student has their own caddy but this vertical storage option is bulky and impacts the amount of workable space my students have. The small baskets in this project will help eliminate the visual obstruction and increase their desk surface area. These small materials will allow students to redirect their focus on the learning.

The donations to this project will give my students more choices in selecting their perfect environment for completing work.

The current organization of my classroom allows students to work in small groups and supports their collaboration when working through challenging tasks. With lap desks my students can decide if they prefer to complete work away from their desks perhaps in the classroom library or a in a quiet corner. With the desk dividers they have the choice to stay at their desk while politely letting others know they need some independent work time. Every student will be given options to find the best learning arrangement for themself.
