Improving Literacy and Achievement Through Explicit Handwriting Support

Help me give my students the fundamental literacy tools they need, including explicit handwriting instruction and auditory assistance during language learning activities. Early literacy plays a crucial role in fostering student success and academic achievement.

My Project

I am asking for your support in providing essential learning materials to help support my new students next year, who come to kindergarten with varying levels of preparedness. With these materials, I will be able to continue current programs that have been doing wonders for my students.

Young children who are just beginning to write need explicit instruction in learning letter formation.

The handwriting Without Tears program offers explicit and systematic instruction that also provides multi-sensory activities. Purchasing these workbooks will enable me to continue the program another school year since I already have the accompanying teaching materials. The dry erase pockets will help provide additional practice with letter formation as needed.

The headphones will be used as a tool to promote literacy as they will be used during individual computer time, for individualized literacy instruction. These headphones will enable students to engage in self-paced lessons to enhance phonemic awareness, vocabulary, and comprehension.

Funding for this project will benefit incoming kindergarten students by supporting the continuation of effective programs. Your generosity can make a significant difference in the lives of my students, ensuring they have access to the materials they need to reach their full potential. I deeply appreciate any support you can offer toward this cause.
