Improved Art Department Demonstration Recordings

Help me give my students better recorded demos and improved remote interaction with this Mevo camera setup that will cover the demonstration workspace from two angles as well as me when I'm talking to the students.

My Students

My yearbook staff is planning triple coverage of every student enrolled at my school. This means extra hours visiting school clubs, athletic events, dances, academic competitions, and other school events. It also means finding students who don't participate in extracurricular events and creating features that highlight these individuals.

My yearbook staff is awesome and relentless.

The class ranges from 10th through 12th-grade students representing a wide range of socio-economic, ethnic, and needs backgrounds. The staff is seriously dedicated to​ their coverage of the school year and in creating a fantastic book.

My Project

The Mevo camera set that we're requesting will significantly improve student experience watching demos by providing multiple angles of coverage including two views of the workspace where the demonstration is occurring and a view with the instructor straight on.

Currently, we do our best recording with a couple of different single camera overhead setups, neither of which are ideal.

When we talk directly to our students, they're still seeing our hands, which isn't always the best thing.

We provide all of our content and instruction online as well as in the classroom. This allows students to continue to participate regardless of the other conditions of the pandemic. In a sense, we are competing with all of the video self-publishing platforms. Providing higher quality and higher production value content for our students helps the students to better engage with the visual art curriculum that we are providing.
